I was at a Hall & Oates concert and watching the opening act (I think) when someone said that there was someone wanting me "over there" pointing to across to my left. I jumped up on this low part of the stage (like a runway?) and went over and saw Al in this crowd of people. He said, "C'mon, Denise" as he grabbed my hand and yanked me (gently) down off this stage. "They're giving away a car," he said. The stage was in the middle of this mall, but the way he said that I thought he was gonna take me backstage to meet Daryl Hall. I said, "OH MY GOD!" So we went running through this mall (and then I began to think, "oh no, what if he really means they're giving away a car, and that's it??") until we got to these bathrooms. I didn't have to go, but I supposed Al did. I only saw a men's room. He went in, so I waited for him (and it seemed like he took forever!). There was only one entrance to the bathroom (there in front of me) and only one exit (on the opposite side) so I kept being afraid I would miss seeing him come out (I don't know why I didn't go wait by the exit!).
I wanted to wash my hands, they felt dirty and I didn't want to shake Daryl's hand with dirty hands. So I was looking for a sink. There was like this alleyway beside the bathroom, and it was about three feet below the bathrooms. I had to get down from it, and somehow I got my bracelet caught on a door handle or something. I looked really silly hanging there from my arm, and it seemed like there was some guy standing there, that eventually came over and helped me down, then disappeared. I saw two doors, and I attempted to open them, but they were locked. The doors said "DE" on them. I wondered what that stood for, but could only come up with "Disabled Employees". Then Walter appeared, and I saw this bottle of Clorox at my feet. I tore (!!) it open and dunked my hands in it to clean them, and then Walter started trying to pour the Clorox all over himself. I was saying, "No, don't do that, you'll ruin your clothes."
He disappeared, and then I was out of the alleyway and further away from the bathrooms, in this outdoor courtyard. I kept wondering if Al had come out and I had missed him. People were milling around everywhere and I kept scanning everyone to find Al. I remember he was wearing a black, red and white shirt, so I kept looking for that. Finally I saw him, so I ran up to him and grabbed his hand. He said, "C'mon, let's hurry before he has to go onstage." (Then I knew he was taking me to meet Daryl!!) I was so excited and I kept saying, "I should've brought my cd thing!" (my Can't Stop Dreaming booklet) and I was wondering how I was gonna get his autograph. We went towards these doors that I supposed led into a hallway towards backstage.
