Cy Curnin (of the Fixx) had come to my parents' house to stay. We were all running around, preparing for him to be there. I think he was supposed to have dinner with us, but I don't ever remember having dinner. My sister and I were discussing a dessert we had had at a place called "Soan's" when he arrived. He came in and greeted everyone and we all tried to make him feel welcome. He was wearing big fuzzy "paws" on his hands, as if they were from a big, shaggy dog costume. We asked if he would like to take them off, but he adamantly refused. We explained to him that he didn't have to go around without covering his hands, that we had plastic gloves he could wear. He thought for a moment, then agreed to switch to the gloves (I knew it had to be more sensible; then, at least, he could use his fingers!). All the rest of us were wearing gloves, too, except me, so I offered to wash my hands and outfit Cy with a new pair of gloves. I went over to the sink and washed my hands and picked up some gloves, but by that time, Cy had disappeared. I went looking for him, and found him outside in the carport. He was already wearing gloves and he was playing with a pack of neighborhood dogs (that were extremely hyper!). One of the dogs rushed in when I opened the door, and he ran into the kitchen and jumped on top of the kitchen table, where my mom was sitting, trying to clean up dinner or something. The dog circled the table twice, then jumped down. I closed him off in the laundry room and finally got him to go back outside after a few tries (and a lot of him running around frantically!). With Cy outside, I decided to help my mom clean up the kitchen. Our whole family had been there, so there were several chairs and footstools all over the kitchen. I started stacking some of them and putting them out on the porch and clearing some of the kitchen space that was so cluttered. Before I could finish putting all the furniture away, someone said that Cy was ready to watch a movie. Walter had apparently been talking to him, and had asked him if he had ever seen "Dances With Wolves". Cy said he hadn't, and Walter convinced him to watch it. My mom warned Cy, "You know that's like a 6-hour movie[sic], don't you?" He didn't care, he wanted to watch it anyway. So we all started to file into the living room, where someone started setting up the video. Suddenly, we were all in my parents' bedroom, which somehow was upstairs now. Cy came up the steps into the bedroom carrying his wife, who was a very young, very pretty lady with a pierced nose. My mom had apparently made a suit for Cy, which he was proudly modeling for all to see. It was a light brown suit, but it had a light pattern on it that reminded me of curtains. My mom had even made a matching pillowcase, which was on a pillow that Cy was holding onto. He threw the pillow over onto a nearby sofa. Cy's wife had been outfitted by my mother, too... she was wearing a very light, almost sheer type of wedding gown, complete with a headpiece. It was very pretty on her, but the material looked kind of cheap. Finally, we all started to settle down onto couches so that we could watch the movie.
